Thirteen year old David Bache completed the XP 2011 Equestrian Endurance Ride this past summer. The course was 2000 miles over the Pony Express Trail from St Joseph, Missouri, to Virginia City, Nevada. It was organized as forty 50-mile races over an eight-week period. David was the only junior (under 16) in the event, but held his own by finishing 1st twice and in the top ten several other times. David and his support team (father and fellow rider Tom, mother Ann, and two hired crew) surmounted many challenges (mechanical problems, horse problems, bad weather, mud, alkali desert) as they traversed remote and rugged terrain on obscure trails that have changed little since they were followed by the wagon trains of the 19th century.

Fourteen year old Jake Chasan has been busy developing his computer business, tutoring and fixing computers and building websites. With over 26 websites built and maintained he decided to branch out this summer and build Apps for the iPhone and iPad. He had his first App commissioned by a website client AWELife and then developed his second App from his own original idea, The Office Trivia Quiz. He now has two Apps for sale in the iTunes store, and one in the The Android Marketplace and is working on his third App.
